We are pleased to share findings from the Child Appropriate Game Design study in a range of formats, and will endeavour to provide free and open access wherever possible. We are also pleased to share the inaugural annual project report, which provides details about our Year 1 research activities and outreach, including preliminary findings from our first round of focus groups with kids aged 6-to-12 years about age-appropriateness in games (and all that entails), key takeaways from our ongoing policy analysis and design analysis, as well as a summary of our planned next steps. This is an open-access report written for a general audience, which we hope will include parents, educators, developers, trust and safety professionals, fellow researchers, and policymakers, and anyone else with an interest in children’s rights, ratings and regulation in digital games.
